Are you a Programmer?

We've adopted Python using the Django framework as our primary development toolset, so we're looking for a Python (Django) developer. This person will play a pivotal role on the development team, juggling multiple projects simultaneously - some small, some large. From time to time, larger projects at cabedge push the custom application envelope, so experience with complex development, strategy, and problem solving is a must have.

Our team is very cohesive and collaborative, so we also need a clear, concise communicator who's flexible, client-minded, and not afraid to "get dirty" with any task. There are no egos or attitudes here, just people who love what they do, are incredibly talented, embrace consistent quality in their work, and are not afraid to learn and take direction.

This person will have day-to-day collaboration with other Python developers. We don't have a comprehensive training process, so at least 2 years of experience in Python and other languages is required - we need someone who can hit the ground running. We all work "in house" - working remotely is not an option for this position, so if you're interested, you'll either have to be in Nashville, or willing to relocate.

Specifically, the "must have" experience and capabilities of our ideal candidate are:

• Python (Django) - 2 years minimum
• MySQL or Postgresql
• Unix/Linux
• PHP / Ruby (Rails)
• Javascript / AJAX
• Source code management (Subversion, Git)

Responsibilities include:

• experience working on development team
• strategic thinker and collaborative, balanced with "get it done" mentality
• open to direction from Production Manager and other team members
• good time manager, able to juggle multiple tasks/projects efficiently
• mindful of budget and deadline constraints on the development process
• able to work within systems and processes to manage projects effectively
